Cheyenne, Wyoming is the capital and largest city of Wyoming with a population of 65,000. As part of the Front Range, Cheyenne experiences good growth and is an economic hub with proximity to Denver.
This list of tallest buildings defines such as low and high-rise towers with two or more floors; while transmission towers are included for comparison purposes, they are not ranked. The City of Cheyenne began as a railroad tent-town in 1867, founded by Union Pacific General Dodge. The first well-known building was the Eagle Hotel, built in 1869 by Anen Simmons, to be destroyed by fire in 1874.
Early history
Following the Gilded Age of the 1800s, the main establishment that has survived to this day is the Wyoming State Capitol, built in 1890, with the wings being completed by 1917; The height being Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Convert/data' not found., therefore the tallest in Wyoming for a century. In the 20th century, the Cheyenne club was considered by the press to be an astounding luxurious building two-stories high. It was said to rival England's Gentleman Clubs and hosted pristine parties.
Recent changes
The current tallest building, the Wyoming Financial Center, was constructed in 1990 at 148 feet, just higher than the capitol. It remains the tallest in the city today.

However, according to Emporis, White Hall is estimated to be only Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Convert/data' not found. tall, and according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat the Wyoming Financial Center (U.S Bank Building) is Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Convert/data' not found. tall and is thus the tallest building in Wyoming. The Wyoming State Capitol Building, at Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Convert/data' not found. (spire) is only slightly shorter. The Jim Bridger Power Station in Point of Rocks has also been cited as being 24 stories tall and the tallest building in Montana but this probably includes boilers and stacks which are not regularly inhabited.
