Jake Cruise
Jake Cruise, also known by his real name— Ric Alonso— is a producer and director of pornographic films, primarily films oriented towards a gay audience.[1]
Cruise's media company was fined over $11,000 in 2014 for violating California state health and safety regulations regarding the use of condoms on the sets of his films. Michael Weinstein, the president of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, was quoted as saying, "The porn industry has simply chosen to ignore these laws, with few, if any, repercussions to date for producers. We are glad to see that OSHA is looking out for worker safety and reminding the entire industry that condom use—regardless of past or future legislation in Sacramento—already is the law."[2]
In 2011, Cruise caused an upset for the Miss America pageant when his real name was found to be associated with his identity as a pornographic film director/producer. Cruise had been a major sponsor of the event.[3][4]
