Elsa Jean is an American photo model and former pornographic actress.
Early life
Elsa Jean was born in Canton, Ohio, US. Raised in a strict religious family as a Mennonite.[1] She graduated from high school at age sixteen, after which she began her higher education early at George Mason University to become a surgical assistant.[2] After she turned eighteen, she dropped out of college.[2]
Career
Pornographic films
She began working as a stripper in 2015 in Washington, D.C. because of strip laws that allowed her to earn more money.[1][3] Entered the pornographic industry when she was nineteen.[4] She took the pseudonym Elsa Jean in honor of the character Elsa from the Disney animated film Frozen.[2]
In January 2018, she was named to Fortune magazine's "The Dirty Dozen: The 12 Most Popular Stars in Adult Entertainment" list.[5] In June of that year, she became Cherry of the Month by porn site Cherry Pimps, and was selected as New Cherry of the Year at the end of the year.[6][7]
In January 2017, she won the XBIZ Awards for Best Sex Scene - Vignette (for All Natural Saints).[8] In late April of the same year, she won the New Starlet of the Year category of the XRCO Awards.[9] In late January 2018, she won the AVN Awards in the Best Lesbian Group Scene category (for Best New Starlets 2017), along with Adria Ray and Melissa Moore.[10]
In early October 2018, she won the NightMoves Awards in the Most Underrated Performer category (fan's choice).[11] In October 2019, she won a second NightMoves Awards, this time triumphing in the Best Stripper Porn Actress category.[12]
In September 2020, she made her debut in an anal sex scene, starring in the movie show Influence by Tushy studios.[13] For a lesbian anal sex scene with Emily Willis, she was awarded a second AVN Awards in January 2021.[14]
In November 2021, she announced the end of her career as a porn actress to devote herself fully to her family and modeling profession.[15][16] As of September 2022, she had starred in a total of 709 pornographic films and scenes.[4]
In November 2022, she began minting Non-fungible tokens (NFT) which sell for $250 each.[17] She was among the top 1% earners on OnlyFans, saying in an interview that she earned $750,000 from OnlyFans in a year and $30,000 from NFT sales in one month.[16][17][18][19]
She hosts the podcast Heartbreakers with James Maas about sex, love and relationships, the first episode of which aired on January 10, 2023.[20][21] By the end of 2023, there are over 30 episodes.
